SMS parsers
How MoMo SMS from each network are read.
Parsers turn an SMS into amount, Transaction ID, reference, payer and balance. LokiPay ships tuned defaults for MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money; you only change them if a network changes its SMS format.
Per network#
- Sender IDs — only SMS from these senders are read (and forwarded by phones).
- Credit indicator — must match incoming money; debits are ignored.
- Patterns — regular expressions (case-insensitive) where group 1 is the value: amount, Transaction ID, reference, payer name, payer phone, balance.
Live tester#
Paste a real SMS: matched parts are highlighted in colour and the result shows what LokiPay would store using your unsaved changes. Recent rejected SMS appear as one-click samples. Save applies the rules to new SMS within 30 seconds.
