Payment links

Fixed-amount pages you can share or print as a QR code.

A payment link is a page with a fixed amount that anyone can pay — share it on WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS, or print its QR code at your counter. No code needed.

  1. Open Payment links → New link.
  2. Enter a title (what the customer is paying for) and the amount. The link address is created from the title, e.g. /pay/football-jersey — or choose your own.
  3. Optionally add a description, a payment limit, an expiry date, a thank-you message, a redirect URL, and ask for the payer’s name and/or phone.
  4. Save. Copy the link, open it, or download its QR code from the link’s panel.

What the customer sees#

  1. https://pay.yourshop.com/pay/football-jersey shows your logo, the title, description and amount, and a Pay with MoMo button.
  2. Pressing it creates their own payment with a unique reference and opens the checkout page: your MoMo number and name, the amount and the reference — each with a copy button — and step-by-step USSD instructions for the network.
  3. They pay. When the SMS reaches your relay phone the page turns into a Payment confirmed receipt, shows your message and redirects if you set a URL.
  4. If the page doesn’t update, they tap I have paid and enter the Transaction ID from their MoMo SMS (see claims).
The page remembers a started payment for an hour, so a customer who comes back sees Continue the payment you started instead of getting a second reference.

Each link card shows payments verified, total collected and payments in progress. The link’s panel lists every payer with their reference, Transaction ID and status. Link payments also appear in Payments with purpose payment_link, and trigger the same webhooks (with paymentLinkId).

Links can also be managed by API: payment links API.
